Download any videos you want to keep
Deleting the account removes your content and billing history. Vimeo says to download videos you want before you delete.

Log in and open Settings
Log in to your Vimeo account. Select your avatar in the upper right corner to open the main menu, then scroll down and select Settings.

Open the Privacy tab
In Settings, select the Privacy tab.

Click Delete your account
Click Delete your account and follow the on-screen instructions. This permanently removes your account and all your videos, collections, likes and comments.
Watch out for
- Support can't restore an account you deleted yourself.
- Vimeo may keep some of your information and activity on its internal servers for a time for certain legal purposes.
- Third-party sites and search engines may still show cached or reposted copies of your videos, comments or profile. Vimeo says it has no control over those.
- Deleting the account doesn't cancel a subscription bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel it there or you keep being charged.
- If you only want to stop paying, cancelling your subscription reverts the account to a free plan at the end of the billing cycle without deleting your content.

If you signed up with Google, Facebook or Apple
You need a Vimeo password to delete the account. Create one first using Vimeo's "How to update your password" steps, then follow the steps above.

If you can't log in
Vimeo may still delete the account after confirming it's yours. If you can still receive email at the account's primary login email, reply to Vimeo from that address; a reply from any other address won't work. If you no longer have that email, Vimeo asks for evidence of your most recent payment, such as a receipt or invoice from Vimeo, Apple, Google Play or PayPal, or the card details.
What stays out there
Deleting your Vimeo account takes it out of public view on Vimeo. Reposts, embeds on other sites and cached search results are separate copies that Vimeo says it can't control.
If videos or a profile carried your name, face or location, scrapers and people-search sites may also hold that data. Search for your name after deleting to see what's left. Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them, and keeps watching for new listings.

Does deleting Vimeo cancel my subscription?
