Serus is a privacy company with paid tools to find and remove your personal data. This guide shows the free way to do it yourself.
Step by step
- 1
Back up your content
PolyBuzz says it can't help you retrieve content or information from a deleted account and recommends you back up what you need first.
- 2
Let premium services expire
PolyBuzz's terms say any premium services must have expired before deletion, and the account can't have outstanding charges.
- 3
Open Settings > Account
PolyBuzz says you can request deletion in the app at any time. Open Settings, then Account.
- 4
Choose Delete
Select Delete and follow the prompts to submit the deletion request.
Watch out for
- Deletion can't be undone. You can't log back in or use the services as a registered user afterwards.
- Purchases are lost. PolyBuzz says you can't keep using services you paid for, even if you register a new account.
- If the account is linked to a dispute, PolyBuzz says it can suspend or stop the deletion.
- PolyBuzz says it may not remove some user information from its backup systems right away, unless the law requires it.

What stays out there
Deleting your PolyBuzz account stops new data going to PolyBuzz. Chats you've already had stay in backups for a while, and nothing changes for copies other companies hold.
If you signed up with an email or phone number that also appears in broker databases, those entries stay until they're removed there. Serus finds where your details are listed and removes them.
